Killeen ISD announced today that Karol Carlisle will serve as interim principal of Hay Branch Elementary for the remainder of the school year.
Carlisle is a veteran educator with 33 years of experience in public education prior to her retirement in 2010. Since retiring, she has continued serving Killeen ISD students and staff in interim leadership roles across multiple campuses.
She is a familiar face at Hay Branch. Last school year, Carlisle served full time as assistant principal, and this year she has been supporting the campus as a part-time campus instructional specialist.
“Ms. Carlisle knows this campus, its students, and its staff,” Superintendent Dr. King Davis said. “Her steady leadership and experience will help ensure continuity and support for the Hay Branch community during this transition.”
Carlisle will continue working alongside campus staff to ensure a smooth transition and consistent leadership for students and families.
